Arjun Balar, M.D.

Dr Balar is a Senior Vice President – Global Clinical Development and serves as the Clinical Development Lead for several early and late phase development programs at Loxo@Lilly. Before joining Loxo@Lilly, he was an Associate Professor of Medicine at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine, Director of the Genitourinary Medical Oncology Program and Medical Director of the Clinical Trials Office at the Perlmutter Cancer Center at NYU Langone Health. At NYU Langone, he led the clinical development of several novel immunotherapies and antibody drug conjugates in localized and advanced urothelial cancers which are now global standards of care. He is an internationally recognized expert in the research and treatment of localized and advanced urothelial cancers but also has broad experience in the treatment of all urologic malignancies including prostate, renal cell and testicular cancers. Arjun received his M.D. degree from the University of South Florida – Morsani College of Medicine as a member of the Alpha-Omega-Alpha Honor Society, and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill-Cornell Medical Center and a fellowship in medical oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
